ABOVE: Theresa Hitchens, a member of the English 1 1 scholarship team, receives her certificates for placing 2nd in the District by division, 5th in the State by division, and 4th in the District without divi- sion. BELOW: Brenda Zaayer, a MAJVS student, is given an honor roll pin by Mr. Steve Johnson for being on the honor roll five out of five times. Seniors receive numerous awards at Awards Night Many awards were presented at Awards Night on May 19. The PTO Scholarship Award went to Jan Lit- zinger. “I Dare You” awards were given to Teri Clouse and Kerry Theiss. Ted Cotterman received the DeKalb Award, and O.E. Hearing Scholarships were awarded to Geri Rousculp and Gretchen Gaskins. Spring Musical Awards were presented to Linda Hommrich, Chris Noll, and Belinda Spohn. Mark Baisden received the Search for Leadership and Family Liv- ing Award, formerly called the Betty Crocker Award. 184 seniors make up ihe largesf class io graduate from Qheridan Graduation Exercises were held at 8 p.m. on Sunday, May 30. Boys wore gray caps and gowns, while the girls wore red. For the second consecutive year there were five valedictorians. The class of '76 included eight and a half sets of twins. The senior song, “Down the Road,” was sung by any seniors who wished to, and the entire class sang the Sheridan “Alma Mater.
