sonunw Nw VO-ED The 15 reochers of rhe Vocorionol Education Deportment did help students get o practical education with 33 class offerings. Child Development was a new class offered to students this year. In this class rhe students learned rhe different stages of a growing child. There was also a mini-course offered in Career Guidance . A major activity that occured in rhe Voc Ed Deportment was rhe remodeling of rhe Vocational Arts building. There wos still o bit of mechanical and electrical work to be done bur rhe rest of rhe work was mostly finished. New windows also needed to be installed to march rhe rest of rhe buildings. The carpentry class also added storage capacity to rhe Ag. building. Anyway a student looks or this department, he sees practicality. Registering, counseling students with personal problems, schedule changing, and filling our scholarship application forms ore o few of many responsibilities of rhe counselors. Also rhe counselor offered a career minicourse which provided students with information about potential careers. With rhe encouragement and help of Mrs. Dunning, many students signed up for this course. Mainstreaming with special education was another new job of rhe counselors.
