Thespians Perform Thespians were led this year by President, Kathy Skatula, Vice President, Marcia Hale, Secretary-Treasurer, first semester, Michelle Fredrichs, second semester, Mary Murphy, and Historian Barb MacLean. Miss Olive J o y c e Lee was Sponsor. Again this year, the Thespians held their annual awards banquet at the Ranch House in Ran-chester. Awards were presented to members who excelled in their performances during the year. Barb MacLean was selected by the group members as Best Thespians, the highest honor. Kathy Skatula and John Juroszek were elected Best Actress and Actor in Music Man and J. B. respectively. Marcia Hale was selected for Best Supporting Actress and Best Actress in a character role for her part as Mrs. Paroo in the Music Man, Peter Clark was selected Best Supporting Actor for his role in Music Man. Best Actor and Actress in a minor role were Jim Raymond, and Julie Soder-gren, for Music Man. Best Actress and Actor in a bit part were Diane Crimmel and Bennie Harris in Music Man, and best rookie actor was Gary Daniels for J. B. Bottom Right: Penny Scherry watches as a freshman is initiated. The Girls Of G. A. L. To enter G.A.L. a girl must earn a total of 100 intramural points. Every sport participated in is worth 50. When a girl has earned 700 points she gets a letter and when she adds 700 more she is awarded a sweater. This year the members of G.A.L. sold candy to raise money, decorated the gym for Homecoming, held an initiation of new members, and a banquet. Miss Irene Schlattmen is G.A.L. Sponsor. 30
