Pearson Elected Outstanding Young Educator This was Mr. Larry G. Hutt’s third year at S.H.S.; he taught political science U.S.S.R. and communism, recent U.S. History and history of the Far East. Mr. Hutt attended the University of Utah where he received his B.A. and M.S. and the University of Wyoming where he received his B.A. Mr. Hutt for the past three years has been the student government advisor and last summer was at Trail Lake Student Council Leadership Camp. Mr. Warren W. Pearson, senior class sponsor, is a member of the executive Council of the Sheridan Teachers Association and chairman of the Sheridan Social Science Curriculum Committee. Primitive cultures, contemporary problems, and Social Studies lb are the courses Mr. Pearson taught his second year at Sheridan. He earned his B.A. in Social Studies at the Northern Colorado University and also attended the University of Wyoming.

Lillibridge Heads Social Studies Dept. Mr. Glen Lillibridge, chairman of the Social Studies Department, taught U.S. constitution, sociology, and economics. Mr. Lillibridge, who has been teaching in SHS 21 years, received his B.A. from the University of Nebraska and his M.A. from the University of Wyoming and the University of Nebraska. History of U.S. wars, contemporary problems, and U.S. constitution we;e taught by Mr. Daniel J. Hansen. Social Studies Dept. Added Two New Teachers Mrs. Winifred Jernigan taught ancient world history, recent U.S. history, and history of U.S. wars. This was her first year of teaching. She has her Associate of Arts Degree from Miami-Dade Junior College and her Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts from Florida State University. Mrs. Jernigan is a member of Phi Beta Phi. Mr. Dale L. Josewski holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from Valley City State University. He taught driver’s education, Social Studies 1-a, and recent U.S. history. He was also the freshman football assistant coach. Mr. Josewski taught previously at Poplar, Montana. Mr. Mike Darnell taught psychology and sociology as well as being advisor to the student government. He has his Bachelor of Arts from Colorado State University. Mr. John Deti taught Social Studies 1-a. Mr. Deti holds a Master of Science Degree in Education from the University of Wyoming. He also coached football, wrestling and weight training at SHS.
