Crimmel Teach Speech Mr. Fred Crimmel taught speech at SHS for his 4th year. His classes included group persuasion, public speaking, logic and rhetoric, argumentation and debate, and oral interpretation. He was coach of the speech team and sponsor of the National Forensic League. Mr. Crimmel received his B.A. from the University of Wyoming. Mrs. Claudia Raecke was the freshman speech teacher. She served as the freshman class sponsor and was also secretary of the Sheridan Teachers Assn, and the Northeast District Assn. She received her B.S. from the University of Wyoming. Top. Mrs. Raecke grades freshman speech assignment. Crimmel helps students com-pose their first speeches.

English Department Exactly three years have passed since the diversification of the English department took place. Students now involved in this program find the occasional change interesting and of all things refreshing. Mrs. Bisbee first arrived at SHS when the diversification was taking place. Now she is involved in the program by teaching sophomore composition, mythology, poetry, and the past two years American literature 1900-1945. Mrs. Bisbee is a graduate of the Serves Many Students University of Wyoming. Her special interests and hobbies are sewing, cooking, and small bore competition. Mrs. Wright was one of the teachers on the English staff that wasn’t greatly affected. She previously had been the school librarian and therefore this was her first year on that staff. Mrs. Wright taught mass media, business english, English la, American literature post world war II. Mrs. Wright is a graduate of Union College in Lincoln, Neb. Her special interests and hobbies include such things as hiking, traveling, visiting art galleries and ghost towns. Miss Waisner, one of the veteran teachers who had to change to meet the programs standards. Miss Waisner is a graduate of the University of Washington. Her special interests and hobbies include reading, hiking, gardening, and traveling. Miss Toy, the new addition to the English staff has taken over the sponsorship of the Ock. Besides sponsoring the Ock, Miss Toy teaches short story, world literature, sophomore composition and journalism. Miss Toy is a graduate of Saint Mary’s in Kansas. Mr. Spangler, the sponsor of the Bronc wasn’t affected by the change. Mr. Spangler taught English la, and mass media. He is a graduate of the Black Hills State College. His special interests and hobbies are sports and photography.
