Crimmel Teach Speech Mr. Fred Crimmel taught speech at SHS for his 4th year. His classes included group persuasion, public speaking, logic and rhetoric, argumentation and debate, and oral interpretation. He was coach of the speech team and sponsor of the National Forensic League. Mr. Crimmel received his B.A. from the University of Wyoming. Mrs. Claudia Raecke was the freshman speech teacher. She served as the freshman class sponsor and was also secretary of the Sheridan Teachers Assn, and the Northeast District Assn. She received her B.S. from the University of Wyoming. Top. Mrs. Raecke grades freshman speech assignment. Crimmel helps students com-pose their first speeches.

Mr. Harkins Heads English Department for 5th Year Mr. Cliff Harkins served as head of the English Department for his 5th year. Along with his teaching duties, which included American lit., imaginative writing, and sophomore comp., he was coach of the golf team and taught driver’s education. He received his B.A. from Chadron State Teacher’s College and his M.A. from the University of Wyoming. Mr. Robert Koeneman, in his 5th year in the Sheridan School System, taught sophomore comp., expository writing, American lit., Russian drama, Shakespeare, and short story.
