LOWER RIGHT: Barbara Brown—Social Studies I; B.A , University of Colorado. The History Department led an active year at Sheridan High School. Mr. Lillibridge, head of the department, made several trips to Casper where he, along with other history teachers in the state of Wyoming, set out to revise the History curriculum in order to make it more interesting as well as informative. In order to further the understanding .of history and its effects on us today, many speakers were invited into the history classrooms. Along with the lectures, these speakers answered the questions of the students. Some of these speakers included Mrs. Pat Carbone of the Mental Health Service and Miss Lola Amundson, Executive Secretary of the Draft Board. There were three new instructors who joined the History Dept, this year: Miss Brown, Mr. Hutt, and Mr. Shaffer. 24
