In this typing class the students are all thumbs. It’s all Spanish to me, says Bob Hayes to Robin Johnson in the new Language Lab. Was Mr. Brown in the class when you told that story, Mike? 'But I don't look like that! Sheryll Shafer exclaims to Norman Wooten. Everyone lends a hand in Art. Are these students singing? (Left) Students leave study hall for their next class. (Right) What an awful day!” complains Linda McManus to Helen Augsbach. Mason Page pours over the pages in the library. Don Gwinn and Tom Meyer promote Christmas spirit for Honor Society. Pat MacCatherine and Patti Crawford illustrate the solutions to some very’ tough geometry problems. Mary Orr, Beth Gale, and Dave Madia ponder a serious problem. e U pen- Hil- Save your nies,” Dale pert says to Penny Oslund as they examine class ring possibilities. ea A S’pose Gary Galbreath and Lee Smith are really using those adding machine for bookkeeping? Ben Reynolds and Joe Paulson are really accomplishing in machine shop. (Right) Perhaps we need a traffic light on the stairs at Sheridan High School. Lunchtime means a serious decision for Mr. Boint as he keeps Bill Berta waiting for his money. (Left) I wish that I had worked harder,” says Bob Hartwig as he and Dale Hil-pert admire Ron Baker's magazine sales prize. In home economics Mary Blevins and Lois Frisbie learn the proper sewing techniques. 8 — ' «« —i.. Like persons, schools possess individuality. The Bronc for I960 represents our attempt to portray school life just as it is in Sheridan High School. Here we have our best fun, encounter our first obstacles and form lasting friendships. We hope that this book will always recall happy memories of the 1959-1960 school year. Setuon. Vice-President Willard Cook The Senior Class Officers appreciate Art Secretary . . Hours of hard work and thought had become a reality as we viewed the banners in the halls and the decorations in the gym. All was quiet as the assembly began with the entrance of the Queen and her court. G.A.L. President, Mary Jo Quintanna, introduced our 1959 Homecoming Queen, Sharon Keithler, and her attendants, Pam Sheeley and Phyllis Thompson. After the presentation of flowers and gifts to the trio, the assembly proceeded with various performances to entertain the royalty. Sharon Keithler Following the assembly the student body organized by classes for a snake dance. Arriving at the bonfire a contest was held to determine which class would have the privilege of striking the blaze. An effigy of a Laramie player was burned at the stake. Activity broke forth again as the Broncs kicked-off to the Plainsmen. Half time saw a presentation by the band, and the introduction of the court. In spite of defeat, the students enjoyed themselves at the dance which followed. Helping to make the dance more colorful, were the large yellow pompoms worn by many of the girls.
