Art Art is taught by Mrs. Avery, who has a busy schedule to keep pace with. For half a day she teaches classes at the high school, then travels around the grade schools. The main project of the art students is painting Christmas posters, which decorate the lower halls of S.H.S. before the approaching holiday. Library The Sheridan High School library is kept in order by Miss Hansen. This library is very well stocked with interesting and educational books of great use to the students. Many research books are available to the students, which offer assistance to one seeking term-paper information. The library is frequently used by students before and after school. Above are: Mr. Popovich, who teaches Plane Geometry and Solid Geometry; Mr. Cloyd who has classes in Algebra I and II; Mr. Yearous who instructs General Math and Algebra I; and Mr. Hunt, who teaches Plane Geometry and Algebra I. Mathematics The varied Mathematics or Math'’ courses include General Math, Algebra 1 and II, Plane Geometry, Solid Geometry, and Trigonometry. To graduate from S.H.S., two years of Math are required. But to many, this requirement does not satisfy their thirst for greater knowledge in the field of mathematics, so they go on to take Algebra II and Solid Geometry. Math, as is said, keeps the brain stimulated and dusts the cobwebs from the corners. 19
