Sherihan lguhlic Snhnnls Bank of Commerce Building SHERIDAN, WYOMING Our nation can be proud of its strength of human assets, its men and women, and its vast reservoir of youth who make up our country. Throughout our history we have sought constantly to increase our knowledge, strengthen our character and improve our- selves. ln common with other free nations of the world, we do not rely solely on our mili- tary might. Our great strength lies in our Y! people and their participation in spiritual, educational and industrial progress. It is our hope that we have, during your four years at S.H.S., offered you the oppor- tunity to prepare yourself to assume these responsibilities as a citizen in a free land. Best wishes, y Superintendent 6-if J. R. HYLTON, Chairman D. C. DIERS, Treasurer LAURA C, PELESKY, Clerk R. B. KELSO W. J. CHRISTENSEN W. E. COOK i..

aggsziclan Scgoof Alliczlcfan, q'Vyomin9 The opportunities for educational and cultural advance- ment are nowhere else so widely distributed as in this country. But even here there are millions upon whom fortune does not smile. There are boys and girls against whom the doors of advancement appear to be closed. The opportuni- ties of life are by no means equal. And herein lies the means by which the students of Sheridan High School may prove their gratitude for the educational opportunities made available through the foresight of the citizens of this community. The period of our lives that we spend in school provides us with the greatest opportunity that we will ever have to prepare ourselves so that we may solve problems of every nature. It may, and does, help us to take care of ourselves in the economic world. lt may enable us to make more money. But the greatest gift of education is that enlargement and refinement of the personality which makes it possible for us to produce melody rather than discord when we touch the keyboard of life's experiences.
