g The conviction that all men must carry the responsibi- lity in a democratic society-the responsibilities of his free institutions and ideals-and that all must therefore be educated, has been one of the foundation-stones upon which our nation rests. The decision that this nation was to be a free nation for every man was a radical idea, and an American ideal, and one to which we have clung and devoted our energies and our talents and pinned our hopes down to this very hour. The promise of America lies in the continued acceptance of this goal by the gen- eration of Americans now in our schools. GYMNASIUM Finished in the fall of 1950. it is one of the leadin mnasiums in the state and S BY , will seat between 1,500 and 2,000 people. This building is used all year around for voting, sports, meetings, dances and other community activities. MYQW VOCATIONAL ARTS The original building was finished in 1925, and an addition was added in 194-8. The Vocational Arts Building is divided into five parts: Mechanical Drawing, Metal Shop, Woodworking, Agriculture and Machine Shop.
