Nothing will make this an easy contest, but it will help immeasurably to play the game for keeps---keeping the long view that looks beyond this year and the next. And the basis of this long view is a real education, preparing today for vnat lies ahead. we at SHS, can only give you the opportunity to resr yourself you do the ----- Superintendent of Schools S £Tuhzn cJ-ficjfl eScflOoi £fit i Lxn, 'Vyoming TC THE STUDENTS: In America, where the democratic form of government is developed to a very high degree, we depend upon the level of intelligence, the sound judgment and the foresight of all the people. It follows that as our problems grow in complexity, the standards of civic competence must increase. If the present school system is to function effectively in the modern world, it is necessary that we provide better educational opportunities for all. Next in line they conquered the mighty Billings Broncs 14—13. The Rock Springs encounter was an exciting game all the way through to the final score 13—13. Then came the disastrous two weeks of the polio vacation in which the midseason form of the team was lost, resulting in a brand new start with the homecoming game a week away. In the homecoming match the Laramie Plainsmen took out a 21—20 victory. The traditional game with Casper was played in the usual spirit of rivalry. Unfortunately the final score read Casper 26, Broncs 17. Schedule games with Cheyenne and Riverton were cancelled due to the epidemic. WHOA!
