FAITH AND WORKS by Sarah Pettit It is based on a story which took place in the wilderness country of Ohio in 1770. , i READING THE BAD NEWS CARL ROLLINS ' Com HARDY ROLLINS Auf. C oach MEDIATE KAISER BILYEU swocrmousn MILLER BLANKENBURG HUSMAN WASHUT McGAW WHITE HARDEE 90 Starting out with two new coaches, the Broncs opened their season with some nine veterans. The Broncs welcomed the Rollins Brothers who were both fresh from The University of Wyoming where they were members of the Cowboy eleven. The Broncs opened their successful season with a thrilling 13 to 12 count over Worland. The following week the Broncs journeyed to Billings and tasted their first defeat by a 19 to 6 score. Snapping back from this defeat the Broncs downed two Big Six teams, Rock Springs by the tune of 20 to 12 and then defeated Rawlins in a blinding snow storm 12 to 7. The last half of the season saw the Broncs riding high in the Big Six loop. They were tied with Laramie for the number one spot. The mighty Broncs then turned back the Lead Gold-Diggers 23 to 6. For the home-coming fray the Broncs put on a mighty show and drubbed the Cheyenne Indians 28 to 6. Riding high after their continued tie with the Laramie Plainsmen, the Broncs took on the Plainsmen at Laramie and came out on the short end of a 26 to 0 score. This was the first defeat suffered by the Broncs in Big Six play. The last game of the season, the Casper-Sheridan skirmish, became a natural again this year. Both teams were tied for second place with a loss against them both. Casper managed to wiggle a 13 to 6 victory out of a hotly contested affair at Central Field. Thus the 1950 season came to a close. The Broncs finally managed to have a good season and the Rollins Brothers deserve a big hand for the job they did in bringing the Broncs to their feet.
