VOCA TIONAL A GRICULTURE There were 18 members in freshman vocational agriculture, 9 in the sophomore class, and 6 members in the junior class. The freshman class study centered mostly around farm mechanics. Livestock and judging was the class study of the sopho- more class. Crop production was one of main topics studied in the Junior class. Vo. ag. class learns technic of acetylene welding. Gary Reitcheck and Max Kennedy receive awards for outstanding judging. 17

Mrs. Deane HOME ECONOMICS The Home Economics department had 29 enrolled in Home Ec. 1 and 28 enrolled In’ Home Ec. II and 5 enrolled in Home Ec. HI. There was two classes of Home Ec. I and of Home Ec. H. These classes studied various fields such as Home Management, Child Development, and Designing. The Home Ec. II classes exchanged classes for one week with the Vocational Agriculture and learned what the various aspects of Vocational Agriculture are. The Home Eco- nomics III class planned the remodeling of teachers apartments for the coming year. 16 Mrs. Deane discusses problems of Home Management.

SOCIAL SCIENCE Mr. Victor Oelke taught American Government and geography in the field of So- cial Science. American Gov- ernment is required to be taken by all juniors in order to graduate. Geography is an elective course which any student may take. Mr. Oelke Mr. Don Bigham taught Amer- ican History. This a required course taken by all Seniors in order to graduate.
