'- Q ,NA M rfg' P' 'Y ,L 'K3w't-Z- , Qfwtofzq 1954 55 In September of 1954 we became the Freshman Class of Sherburne Central School We started off the year wrth srxty dollars whrch we had collected from prevtous years To add to our funds we put on our frrst dance Frosh Downs It drdn t tum out as profrtable as we expected but we had a good trme plannmg it 1955 56 As Sophomores we began to 1o1n more clubs and act1v1t1es The Sadte Haw kms dance which was our main proJect of the year was a roaring success and the money we made helped us look forward to our goal the Semor trlp Wrth thrs rn mmd we sponsored another dance in the sprtng the Tender Trap 1956 57 The anmral magazrne sales which we lost to the Senlors by only a few dollars the school farr where we sold hot dogs cookles and mllk the orderlng and re ce1v1ng of class nngs and our newspaper Juntor News made us feel that we were offrcrally Junlors After Chrrstmas we started plans for our Jumor Prom court stood upon grass covered stalrs surrounded by roses and the queen Sandy Moms sat upon a gllttered moon We felt that tt was one of the most beautrful proms held rn years 1957 58 At last! Ftnally we are able to bear the tttle of Seniors making plans for the future and prepanng for our trrp to New York Crty To butld up our financial supply we outdrd the Iumors m the magazrne sales thrs year and drd very well on the Semor Booth at the school farr Of course we also have the refreshment stands at the football and basketball games Our really brg pro1ect of the year rs thts our Opus 58 Much work has been spent on tt and we hope that rt w1ll be the happrest ever! We have ordered our Senror prctures tnvrtatrons and caps and gowns. We wlll probably engage IH a few more acnvrtres durrng the year another dance perhaps a spaghettr supper or sellrng statronery and wreaths Then the hours we have warted for for thrrteen long years baccalaureate and gradua non' Then of course the most excrtrng trme of tt all the Senlor trip We wish to thank all those who have helped to make our years at Sherbume happy ones frlled wrth many pleasant memorres We srncerely hope that each class followlng us wrll enjoy themselves as much as we have O Moonlight and Roses was the chosen theme and it was held May 24th.
