King Thomas: This is one time the noble pechgogue must wait. I am intrigued with this most wond- rous story Proceed with your tale my royal subjects Duke Seeber Since we numbered only thirty seven at the time we were Knights and Ladies of thy Noble court of King we spent the year i.n one group under the supervision of his Highness, Mr Kenny Duke Sleeper guided us through many important decisions while Duchess Benson held the office of vice president and Duchess Whitney again did a noteworthy job of handling our monetary af fairs The big event of this year of noble King was our Sadie Hawkins' Dance After the girls had shopped around and finally landed a man for this big event they enjoyed our delicious con coction of Kickapoo joy Juice ' It was certainly a memorable event and net ted us a neat profit as we had Fagan s Orchestra play for us Our Knights and Ladies participated in chorus band sports student council athletic council F F A F H A and 4 H Clubs King Thomas Well told oh noble Duke Duchess Peptis I think I had better tell you of our deeds as Barons and Baronesses We were again under the supervision of Pedagogue Kenny Duke Sleeper was our leader, Duke Krause vice pres ident, Duchess Benson secretary, and Duchess Whitney treasurer We ordered our class rings at the beginning of the year and received them just in time for a nice Christmas present After vacation everyone was flashing his newly ac quired ring around school To augment our treasury we constructed a very attractive booth at the School Fair Pop corn cider pop sicles and cheerios were our specialties Some of our Barons even got sore throats from yell n ' Pop corn cheerios' The magazine campaign was our next project Everyone really went all out to beat the Seniors, who considerably outnumbered us in salesmen Though they realized the most money we had the satisfaction of receiving the bonus which is given to the class with the most money per person The profits we made on the magazine sales really gave Probably our most important event was our Junior Prom, the Cinderella Ball . Our castle ballroom was decorated with such realism that it seemed we were actually in the palace garden. A palace in the background C1nderella's golden coach and the evergreen trees all blended to give us one of the best settings ever for a Junior Prom Nobles from other castles for miles around came to our ballroom and all had a merry time while they danced to the music of Stu Crandall s Orches tra Our own Duchess Kenyon was crowned Prom Queen Other exciting activities by which we de fended our honor as Barons and Baronesses included the sale of basketball schedule pen cils and stationery At our skating party held though we all enjoyed a good time At the end of our year as Barons and Ba ronesses our honor was again at stake at the annual field day jousts and tournaments Al though we d1dn't win in all the events, we feel that what we learned in sportsmanship was enough to compensate for it King Thomas A tale told with fire and fury Well if that is all I will consider your request A 1 Dukes and Duchesses Wait' There is one story left untold That is the tale of our most wondrous year of our most valorous achieve ments our treasury a big boost ,... unuxx , LY.:-v1 2u1-'..' fxx 9 . , 7 D !
