Winter Carnival '79, held January ZJTSZM, brought many Shepherd College students out of hibernation and iiirri the warmth of the College Center, the site of most of the ac- tivities. The fourth annual event, sponsored by the Winter Carnival Com- mittee under the direction of Chairman Bill Wright, gave SC stu- f Q0 dents the chance to do some rockin', rollin' and reelin' - both figuratively and literally!! Winter Carnival started off with a bang e or a bruise, as the case may be - with roller-skating at Skateland in Martinsburg on Wednesday evening. About 0' 100 SC students rolled their way into Winter Carnival. But what is rollin' without rockinv? The committee solved that problem real quick. On Thursday evening, QJ a disco, with smilin' Charlie Chiamardas as DJ, was held in the Rams Den. But Friday night was not to be neglected. Following a special X buffet dinner in the dining hall, a happy hour with discount beer was held in the Pub of the College Center. All of this was a prelude to the semi-formal Q1 Snow Ball, lasting from 9-11:45 pm in the Rams Den. With not much time for recuperation, activities began Saturday after- k..a-lg noon with a Foot Rally.
