LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE 1967 Dr. Charles Hurst The Leadership Conference Committee: Linda Smith, Prof. John Morgan, Virginia Gibbons, Jim St. Clair, and Dean Loyd Bates. Dr. Charles Hurst, dean of liberal arts at Howard University, Washington, D.C., was the featured speaker at this year's Lead- ership Conference. Dr. Hurst spoke on poverty, on campus un- rest, on the riots in the large metropolitan cities during the summer of 1967, and on the lack of communication on cam- puses. The conference is held each year for the members of the Student Senate, the officers of campus organizations, and any other interested students, faculty members, and administrators ofthe college. INVA Dr. and Mrs. Ikenberry discuss the conference with Robert Cianelli and his charming wife.
