Z! ,,+-' ER G51 we WV or To: Anyone Looking at This Page From: Fred Buzzerd. Editor The 1958 Cohongoroota could have been a much better book, but it barely is an improve- ment upon last year's volume. Many things are lacking: a large staff, accurate classifica- tion, more pages, etc., but in its way it tells its story. Pictures are a lot, but not everything. unfortunately. Still we give you a record that contains more student pictures, better coverage, and cleaner layouts than has yet been attained. With the growth of Shepherd, we hope that herein the groundwork for a Big,' school annual has been presented for future staffs. My thanks to the people who believed in this book and did something to help it. They often did the work of twenty people, merely because they had no other choice. Cullison. In the single year that he was with us at Shepherd, his kind- ness, his admirable administration of his office, his Christian attitude, and his insight into human nature made him a valued friend of all who knew him. We have lost a rare individual. ?i5. v.f ::-K , 'T 1' , 'f-iw' 4 ' 1' ji g! A v W Mit M9 vi 1' ' 4 . h 'Q5.,.'9x,l -QS ,g -4 by fo, WW' W V9 -w K1 N X e, w . M YS X 3. -.4 3 in FM' i . The Winter weather at Shepherd came in like a lamb and went out like a lion. In early February a heavy snow nearly closed the school, but things managed to function somehow. More snow followed later in that month, and once more the campus took the strange appearance which great quantities of snow produce. .-'f4't1?'- 5 6y'Kg','Af4l1r:'.XJ '- ,?i 2?a.-1 'JEL1 - -F I ,, g-J., ' ,f 'Sing' ,, f 1 Miz: ,' P if 1' ,fi 1'4 AT SHEPHERD ...srl f .z L ,Q-. Two players, ,lim Fazzalore and Joe Hockman, were named to the WVIAC first team at the seasonis end. --v Calvin Dirting Memorial Award A 22-yard field goal by fullback Tedd Rudd in the last 20 seconds of play gave Shepherd a 15-14 victory over Potomac State in this year's Home- coming Came.
