A I4 won and 6 lost record in baseball was followed up by a S won, 1 lost, and 1 tied record in footbill. Thus far, through February 9 the basketball team has a 7 won and 6 lost record with h more games left on the schedule. Shepherd's football team began the year with a new coach, Robert Nelson. After a slow start, Coach Nelson piloted the light, but hard, hitting Jays to 5 straight victories. The most important win of the season was a 18 to 13 win over St. Iouis While the 21 to 19 victory over Reed City was the most thrilling. Highest scores were registered against Grant and Edmore as Shepherd got into the forties both times. Coach Kasel had the tallest teams in the school's history and one of the tallest in the Stlllfi this yefr. The Jays with their 6' 1 average have been hot end cold thus far in the sea son. They have had rw, very tough schedule which will probably eid when they crater the tournament.
