The various clubs at Shepherd have been organized with this aim in view. Participation in the activities of these organizations develops in the students a feeling of responsibility, leadership, cooperation, sportsmanship, and democracy. It advances the spirit of learning among students and helps create bonds of friendN ship between students, faculty, and adw ministration. By participating in these activities, each member benefits socially, mentally, and morally by being provided with the opporw tunity to think, work, and play together in a stimulating and wholesome environment 1 1 X ., . ., 4.
