Second row: Dick Nutter, Dale Brickner, Mr. Huber, Bob Manor, Bud Smith, Gary Murphy. Our first meeting was October 27, 1948, in the office. llr. Huber presided until we elected a president. We discussed what student council would try to do during the year and what oljr sims and purposes would be. We formed various committees to work on different proj ects. Here are some of them To pay for new curtains in the gym, dancing at noon in the gym, mixers after basketball games, changing of school colors, selling programs for basketball games. Our Christmas duties, such as securing the Christmas trees for the rooms and the hall, and de- corating thsn, were given to us by Mr. Huber. We will have meetings every other Tuesday, at di!- ferant hours in the office. We elected as our president Dale Bricknerg Vice-president Barbara, Craigg Secretary-Tresurer Estela Barrerag and Reporter Leota Mae Travis. The Senior representatives on the council are Dale Brickner and Estela Barrera. The Junior re- presentatives are Bob Manor and Dick Nutterg Scphunores are Barbara Craig and Bud Smith, Freshman are Gary Murphy and Leota Travis, Eighth Grade Muriel Wintersg and Seventh grade Richard LaPoe. f C' d 6 J Page Twenty-four
