OZEWOZ raduation gives birth to many emotions. Yesterday we lived and moved and had our beings in a child's world, today we stand on the threshold of a more mundane reality, and tomorrow we put away, forever, the things of our childhood and enter an adult society. The competitive world of economic achievement will claim some of us, and the contemplative world of scholastic pursuit will engage others. In any event, our existence as school boys and girls is short-lived indeed. In presenting our yearbook to you we take advantage of our prerogative to demand your attention. We present this book in a moment of reflection, we make an analogy. We have spent twelve years, twelve-long ones when viewed from present to future, twelve frighteningly Heet ones when viewed from present to past. Our analogy is this. As the sculptor takes a measure of unshaped, unformed molding clay and labors patiently, skillfully, and long step by step, to produce a useful, polished work of art, so, too, did our school teachers accept us as unshaped, unformed children twelve years ago, labor patiently, skillfully and long to produce useful, polished people. The working and polishing is finished now, and it is for us to demonstrate that our sculptors, working in human elements, were as successful as the sculptor working in lifeless clay. It is ours now to show the world that the effort and the strife that went into the past twelve years was not in vain. 0VLll6lfLi.4 I-Administration II-Elementary III-Underclassmen IV-Athletics V-Clubs VI-Seniors
