f as l sf C CLASS HISTORY As the streams flow into the rivers and the rivers flow into the seas, we as elementary students left the various one-roomed schoolhouses to enter our freshman year in one of the four neighboring high schools. A year later Shenendehowa was completed and we all came together for the first time. We started things off with a bang by electing our class officers: Roy Schell, Presidentg Sharon Sanders, Secretaryg and Stanley Dworak, Treasurer. Our junior year we rode the crest of the wave with Sharon Sanders serving as Presidentg Bill Winters, Vice-President. Nancy Parker, Secretaryg and David Meager, Treasurer. We had several money -making activities including three dances to finance our yearbook. We made a big splash with our Prom, the event of the year. The Oriental Paradise, with Steve Anthony's band, was a tremendous success. September 7, 1955 found us back at school as SENIORSI The big fish of the school. At our first class meeting we elected Bill Winters, Presidentg Joe Antenueci, Vice-Presidentg Shelda Werner Secretary: and David Meager, Treasurer. Spots swam before the eyes of the underclassmen the day we all dressed in pink and black, our class colors. Senior Slop Day was a complete reversal. Any visitor to the school would have thought he was in a pretty kettle of fish. Much of our senior year was spent in raising money for our yearbook through such projects as our Harvest Swing, the Christmas dance, and our novelty dance. The rest of our time was spent in actually working on this yearbook, a memorial to the Class of '5b. The affair of the year was our Senior Banquet, with Class night coming in for its share of the prestige. Suddenly, our big day had stolen upon us. On June 25th, we were no longer students, but were tossed adrift in the sea, hopeful that we would ride the waves of success forever.
