Ferraro. 11 was a memorable year for the Shenango Golden Wildcat Marching Band. Under the direction of Mr. Daniel Ryder, our band represented us admirably as the Honors Band at Edinboro State College. They also received an excellent rating in competition at Indiana State College. A very special event this year took our Band, Color Guard, Drill Team and Flag Corps to Pensacola, Flor- ida for the Fiesta of Five Flags competition. The money for the trip was raised by having bake sales, selling items contained in a money box, sponsoring a variety show, a spaghetti dinner, a parent dance, an auction sale, a card party, and a style show. The officers of the band were chosen with Dave Kish, President; Brian Sisley, Vice-President; and Sec- retary-Treasurer, Cheryl Prestopine. Mrs. Cheryl Boling advised the Drill Team along with Gail Wadlinger, Captain; Bea Fleo, Co-captain; Karen Benzick, Secretary; and Debbie Quarello, Trea- surer. Stationery and litterbaskets were sold along with other money raising projects. The Color Guard and Flag Corps were headed by Sherry Duda and Carol Dachko, respectively with Mr. Daniel Ryder Advisor to both groups.
