JUNIOR PLAY The Girl From Outer Space After a hard day at work . . . Thespians of yesterday. Wild ones. Director: Mr. George Milnes Student Director: Dotti Schrecongost Watch it, Buster! Two way stretch. Crazy mixed up world. Which one will it be? Waiting their turn. Anchors Aweigh. PRESENTING ... A routine play. What a merry chase. Assistant coaches Mr. Fred Duckworth, Mr. Harry Zurasky, and coach Mr. John Susko. Shenango matched its most successful football season by posting a 5-3 win record for the second year in a row. Twelve seniors sparked the team. They were: Dave Altman, Mike Baka, Chuck Bame, Ken Hill, Ron Keller, Richard Lenhart, Dave McConahy, Bill Mills, Bert Myer, Terry Myer, Bryce Tompkins, and Tom Whitten. Other than the heartbreaking loss to Union by a 25-20 score the win against Mohawk by a single touch- down 7-0 proved a climax to another winning season. Dan Bintrim's three touchdown performance against Union brings hope of even better things for next year. Head coach is Mr. John Susko assisted by line coach Mr. Fred Duckworth and backfield coach Mr. Harry Zurasky. Can't get a touchdown every time. You tail them, Danny! The Wildcats posted a 11-12 record for the entire season with a 7-9 league contest record. With the team only losing two seniors. Chuck Bame and Richard Lenhart, Shenango should have a winning team next year. Mr. Badger led the team in his second season as head basket- ball coach. Also in his second season is assistant coach, Mr. Glenn Sullinger. If takes two to tango . . . 1. Just a little conference. JUNIOR VARSITY KNEELING (L to R): Amadei, Vito, Cooper, Hull. TRACK Something new in sports was added at Shenango this year: golf and track. Our golf team was coached by Mr. Thad Bukowski. It posted a record of 1 win, 1 tie, and 6 losses in league play during the past season. As the.season progressed the golf team improved in both spirit and ability and this will enable a more experienced team to be fielded in the coming years. Our other new addition was our track team. This group headed by Mr. Larry. Brunner showed great skill at their first attempt in this field. Shenango can be very proud of its mile relay team which broke the Tri-County record. The time was 3:43. We hope that track will blossom even more in the coming years. GOLF ROW 1 (L to R): Bucci, Westlake, Phares, Wawrzynski, Della verson. BASEBALL It took until the last game of the season to determine a county baseball champion. This year although Shenango lost in that final game against Union it fielded an ex- cellent team which was awarded four po- sitions for all county team which led the league in this respect. They were Dick Coates and Joe Wyza, outfielders; Rich Colella, first base; and Jim Slewart, pitcher. Shenango's record was 5 wins and 5 losses. Mr. Thomas Hartwell was the base- ball coach this year.
