ADMINISTRATION MR. GLENN W. JOHNSTON Supervising Principal Ac eight o’clock sharp a blue DeSoto pulls into Shenango parking lot, and out jumps a frisky little man. He walks jauntily into the school, climbs two flights of stairs and walks into his office. He greets everyone with a cheery Good Morning. Then he pre- pares for a busy day. During the course of the day, he is called to the telephone to answer many important calls, and dictates several letters to his secretary. This is the man who takes care of the lagging students. He makes sure that they don’t miss their busses at night. He takes kids home when they get sick. When 5:20 rolls around Mr. Johnson gives a sigh of relief and locks his door,— the end of a perfect day? MRS. BARBARA SMITH Secretary Mrs. Smith, the school's secretary, has been with us three years. She is a graduate of Shenango. Her day which begins at H:00 consists of typing all kinds of tests for the teachers, typing up lists of absentees, and collecting money and recording it in the ledger. She types letters for both Mr. Johnston and Mr. Beatty, answers the telephone and pages people. She scolds teachers and principals when they need it. and plays doctor to cut fingers and the like when the nurse isn’t here. She also gives free advice to students and teachers alike. Her day ends at 5:00 when she climbs into her '5.5 Studebaker and goes home to prepare supper for her new hubby. MR. EDWIN BEATTY Principal At 7:50 a green streak pulls into Shenango parking lot. The man driving gets out and walks into the garage, where he checks the bussses to see that they are in running order and the drivers are present. Next he walks into the school and climbs three flights of stairs to his office. After removing his coat he listens to all com- plaints of the students. This is the way his tiring day starts. At 12:45 he takes the loot from Shenango to the bank. When he re- turns he signs excuses mostly for students late for class. When 3:30 finally comes he checks on the busses again. After they arc- gone he looks to see that no small students are left, then he checks with the office and takes care of last minute details. At 4:45 a green Plymouth pulls out and heads for East Lawrence.

MR. HOWARD NAHAS TIMMY, EDDIE AND THE OLD MAN Even though he's tough we know the line he makes us toe in class is good for us. In his w'ay Eddie also has done many a favor for us, so with pleasure we dedicate this annual to him in part. DEDICATION MR. ANTHONY VENTURELLA J — Tony is always there to lend a helping hand. After those famous play practices, many a gallon of gas in that Buick has gone to take the kids back home. He likes to talk a lot, but who doesn't, and there must be some good in it else the crowd wouldn't listen. To him we also dedicate this annual. ft
