The heavily favored Big Red was jolted 7-6 by Shenango s fighting eleven. The team play' was good but the running of Wfanatosky and defensive play of Alexander were outstanding. After a week of hard workouts the Wiltlcats traveled to Union for a game under the arcs. With- out a doubt this was the hardest fought and best played game of the season. Shenango surprised everyone by holding the Scotties to a 15-13 tie. In fact the game was almost an upset. per i Next on the schedule was big fast Hampton Township which set Shenango back 35-15. The hnal game of the year pitted Shenango against its bitter rival Bessemer. A story' book hnish was not enough to overcome a weak first half and Shenango bowed ps -7. Fourteen Seniors will be lost by' graduation.
