One of the outstanding activities of the Club this year has been the publishing of a newspaper containing up-to-the-minute information re- garding all school activities, especially stressing school athletics. This news was printed for the former Shenango Varsity Club students who are now in Uncle Sam's armed forces. We have received many letters from the boys thanking us for The Varsity News.

With Miss Cowmeadow at the helm this group has made great strides in promoting their efforts on the home front, engaging in such activities as gathering magazines for the Deshon soldiers, and sponsoring a waste paper drive, the proceeds from which were used to purchase volley balls for the soldiers at the Annex. The Club played an active part in the Stamp and Bond contest, the canvas for the Red Cross, and all other major drives of the year.
