uniofz QDKQL The Juniors presented their play, Uncle Cy Hits a New High, early in the spring of the year. The play took place in the lounge, a general sittingroom, aboard the Steamship Happiness, which was sailing for England. Harmon Richard- son, a reputed millionaire, had engaged the bridal suite of The Happiness because he was going to elope with pretty and attractive Star Kern. In the first act Paul Sapp, Richardson's private secretary, was im- patiently awaiting the arrival of his employer and the latter's bride when he received word that Mr. Richardson had been in a motor crash and Wouldn't be able to make the sailing. His wedding was also postponed. Paul was in despair because he knew that if Richardson wasn't in London within two weeks it would mean the loss of a huge sum of money for his employer. He was about to leave the boat in despair when Uncle Cy Sapp from Pun'kin Center, Arizona, rushed in unexpectedly. Uncle Cy had come to New York to pay Paul a surprise visitg and when he learned that his nephew was sailing for England, he came down to the boat to see him off. Paul insisted that Uncle Cy make the journey with him to London and impersonate the wealthy Harmon Richardson. Uncle Cy was forced into his new role much against his will and never dreamed that he was going to be exposed to all sorts of trials and tribulations. When Star Kern's Aunt Winona, who disliked all men, learned that her niece was planning to marry Harmon Richardson she rushed aboard The Happiness and, thinking Uncle Cy is Harmon Richardson whom she had not seen, let loose a barrage of wrath that threatened to snow poor Uncle Cy under, The result was a battle of wits that produced three acts of unbridled fun during which time Aunt Winona fell off the boat into the ocean, and Uncle Cy was forced to don female attire. , ,C ,,0f',,f'f

U55 ggamuzbgo 6711151 The Shenango Crier, the semi-monthly news voice of Shenango, has had a successful year under the efficient supervision of Mrs. Margaret McCarthy. The student interest in this school publication has been man- ifested in the increase of its subscribers. Each member of the staff has received training in writing articles for every page of the paper. This has been accomplished by shifting the majority of the staff members to a different write-up each time a paper has been issued. This plan accounts for the following arrangement of the staff under their respective Class Groups: Editor L L cccc L LLL Mary Louise Williams Assistant Editorcc L L Dorothy Kelly Business Manager L William Nagel SENIORS JUNIORS TYPISTS Grace Lawrence Louise Hay Elsie Shaffer SOPHOMORES Dorothy Mcllrath Pearl Rigotti Felix Kulnis Wilbert Gill Thelda Badger Harriette McGary Louise Duckworth Joe Glorioso William Sorbo Anthony Staph FRESHMEN Norma Fleeger Lois Mcllrath Jean Kelly Dorthy Donley Flora Golis Maxine Sweet JUNIOR HI Gladys Feil Mildred Hay Johnny Cochran Henry Tindall f,'9'ff'f -JrfrJrw-W-fn-0-W-fn-Jr.frJrfJrJrfJrf I-Q-Q5-E15-fiJ'i'R' ffmw ,fj L G N ff f L 1
