The Chapel Choir The Chapel Choir, this year lacking male voices, made line progress in the production of some of the better four and six part works for ladies' voices. The repertoire included old English madrigals and glees, Bach chorales, sacred and secular numbers from Russian, Slavic, German, French, contemporary Americans and the old masters. For its iirst public appearance of the year, the choir sang for the VVomen's Missionary Rally at the College Church on October 26. December sixteenth the Chorus and Orchestra Gave a candleli 'ht musicale. Z3 Amid decorations of evergreens, poinsettas, and white candlesg both organizations presented a well-planned program of traditional Christmas music ranging from works of Bach, VVilliam Byrd, and others, to the brilliant Gloria,' 'from Mozart's Twclfzflz Mass. During Lent the chorus produced the sacred cantata, Stabat Mater by Pergolesi. This was done entirely in the Latin with Beverley Fallis and Ellen Stouffer doing the soprano and alto solos respectively. In April, they gave a Final Spring Conce1't of secular music. Many of the works on this program were modern, programmatic, and atmospheric. The conductor of the choir was Miss Martha B. Williaiiis, Head of the Voice Department.
