, l YM-YWCA Cabinets Qlhcers of the YMCA and YVVCA compose the body known as the Y Cabinet. Joint meetings are held semi-monthly. The 1944 YM group was un- usually reduced, because of the scarcity of men, but their work was carried on in the same diligent manner. About the campus, the work of the Cabinet is easily apparent. Y Vespers on Sunday evenings, Chapel programs on Tuesday, banquets, receptions, parties, May Day and Convocation VVeelc are all sponsored by this group. ia!53h. EF Q- Christion Workers Council The Christian VVorlcer's Council is a non-sectarian organization for all stu- dents who desire Christian fellowship with other students at Shenandoah. Meet- ings are held weelclyg one of these each month being turned into a discussion period, at which time questions of any nature are discussed. Once every two weeks this group is responsible for a Chapel program. ln addition, it, with the cooperation of other organizations, fosters the promotion of the student VVorld Friendship Project. The school of the United Brethren denomination raising the highest amount of money per capita toward this fund is entitled to send a student representative to Africa for two years' study and teach- ing. As a result of the past four years' efforts, Miss Phyllis Shepp was chosen to represent Shenandoah. Besides these activities, parties and socials are frequently sponsored by the CVVC. gum..
