Sheppie's letter this morning was posted from Berlin. She is now working on post war reconstruction in Music Education. Said she met Eunice and Haynes the other day. Eunice is there working on a novel . . . she mentioned it was so odd seeing Neil and Yvonne every day as she passed the dental clinic, and lunching with Rajfak who is traveling around in an effort to trace his family tree. l am very tired after having fixed dinner for I-lite, who is now State Supervisor of Musicg and Rhoda and Bill, who were traveling through. Glnite. JANUARY 1, lgitl Well, Diary, we have reached a half century mark. The party last night was swell, particularly so, because I had so many fond memories of Shenandoah. The jazz band itself made reminiscing easy. Hancher looked natural behind the bass- the clarinet section with Kramer and Worsleyg and the brass soloing Chalky and Brgnneman really did justice to Johnny. Robson, who seems to be second T. Dorseyf Beefy was all right on thedrums, and Golly! Eish.er's voice is still a charmer. Dottie Brinker was both efficient and charming as Hotel Manager, and who should be chief entertainer of the evening, but Betty Slayman-top ranking humorist. It was a great evening, Diary! G'nite. APRIL 5, 1952 Dear Diary! Who should drop in this morning but Howard and Ellen on their way to the Conference. They were to pick up Bridgers, Ginny and Karl Varner. They were anxious to see f'VVindy and Muscles'i' who were speakers of the week. They said Hazel had just been married, and that Vogel and Doris Hill were sticking to secretarial work. Seems that Doris had just heard from Mabel, who is an electrical engineer with Florena Swank for C.B,S. Mac VV'iseman is the number one announcerxfor them. Oh, Ellen mentioned that Esther is in charge of music in a large church in Ghio, somewhere. Makes me feel good to hear about Shenandoahans. 'Nite JUNE 25, 1954. Dear Diary. Today we had our reunion of the Senior classes of '44 at Mt, Gretna in Pennsylvania. Sweet old Geyer was hostess. She's working with a choir of 300 voices in New York, andfhink time off to come down to plan this vacation for us. Lake and Duffy came along with her. They are artists in Radio City. Frances SlQ1ko cameflown from Juneau, Alaska, where she is hostess in a hotelg Ellen does her secretarial work there. Evalina and Sheppie Flew from Paris and landed in Middletown just in time. In was surprised to hear that Marietta was their stewardess on the plane. VV e were fortunate in having all our Senior class there. On my way home I saw Paula and George VV'renn. They both seemed happy. Said that Peggy Todd had just left on an exploring trip to the Antarctic. VVell, Diary, I could reminisce forever, but here come the kids, so l must put them to bed. 'Nite-
