representative boy 8. gurl p'4 49 614114 WN HOLMES PHYLLIS STEPHENS The honor of being Representative Boy and Girl chosen by the Class of 56 has been bestowed upon Dorn Holmes and Phyllis Stephens These two richly deserving Seniors have beer outstanding in scholarship leadership service reliability character and per sonality while participating in their mary school and outside activities Donn began his representative career as a fre 'iman by being elected as class officer and for three years thereafter During his freshman and iunior yea s he served on the Student Courcil He was preside t of his class his sophomore year and secretary his a member of the S Club As a member of the H1 Y for four years he held the office of vice president his Junior and senior years He was chosen Prince of the Heart Throb Danc as a tumor Donn has been a rr mber of Key Club since his sophomore year and as senior holds the office of vice president ln 1955 he was a delegate to the International Key Club Convention Also 1n 55 sponsored by the Rotary he attended Boy s State at Camp Dodge where he held the office of city councilman The honor of membership in the Torch and Scroll was bestowed upon him while a senior Donn has been prominent in music all four years being a mixed chorus member since his sophomore year He has participated in boys glee boy s octet madrigal All State Chorus and vocal contests Phyllis krown by all throughout SHS has been an active member in extra curricular activities She has been a member of Y Teen for four years this year serving as worship chairman Pep Club for four years IRC Cadet Teachers Shen Hi Can staff and annual staff She was elected to membership in two honorary associations Quill and Scroll and Torch and Scroll Phyllis has participated in mixed chorus three years and girls glee four years llll My I 'stiff 2, I DO.. senior year.
