Mr. Guernsey's first position was that of coach and assistant principal at Madrid, Iowa. The following year he served as principal and coach. Dean McKee has always shown a deep interest in the various activities of the high school and has encouraged, in every way possible, all worthwhile projects of the school. Mr. McKee was born in Crawfords- ville, Washington County, Iowa, and received his grade education there. He attended high school at Wintersetg college at Monmouth, Illinois where he received a B. A. degree, and later received his Master of Arts degree from the Univer- sity of Iowa. Mr. McKee has taught in rural schools, was principal of the Patterson, and Earlville, Iowa schools and of the Wever-Media Academy, Media, Illinois, and Brooklyn, Iowa, High School.
