Summer School Teachers Not satisfied while there are yet new educational worlds to conquer, these seven faculty members are attending summer school during vacations-all en- joying their work vastly. The teachers are Mr. McMullen, Mr. Guernsey, Mr. Petti- grew, Mrs. Conant, Miss McCauley, Miss Hunter, and Miss Vincent. Miss Van Cleve and Mix Bath attended State Teachers' Colleges.

Brckett Clatterbaugh Mr Guernsey Maranvrlle Lrndburg The Student Councrl ROBABLY the highest honor that can be conferred upon a student rn any class rn high school rs electron to the Student Councrl Membership rn thrs organization places upon the student a high responsrbrlrty and trust for the Student Councrl member rs a representative of the Student Body and through hrm the Student Body makes rts questions and problems known to the school administration Each class elects one boy and grrl to represent it on the Student Councrl being careful to select the boy and grrl who will treat all student problems honestly fairly and intelligently The Student Councrl rs the organization through which the faculty and schoolboard keeps rn touch upon the quick ever changing pulse of school affarrs The members of and feel more keenly and deeply than could the school offrcrals the multrtudrnous phases of student life and being, careful to werg,h justly the importance of the various problems they encounter they are excellently fitted to present to the admrnrstratron a true picture of Shenandoah High School lrfe as they and therr classmates see rt The work of the Student Councrl rs not concluded with the adjournment of each meeting Members of the Councrl are on duty all of the trme lrstenmg to the de-srr es hopes ambrtrons and complaints of their fellow students watching for possible school improvements encouraging worthwhile projects and actrvltres rnvestrgatrng rnto social conditions of the school promoting a better understandrng and a feeling of cooperation and good fellowship between the students and the teachers trying rn every way possible to make the school a frner and better place rn which to learn I the Council, in their daily social and scholastic contact with their classmates possibly see 4.1
