This year s class has been the biggest and best yet. Last year in our greenness we were noticeable but this year we are in the spot lights. We are so unusual our other classmen don t know what to think of us. In sports both girls and boys furnished some of the best material. Orchestra and band would be lost without us as for the Glee Clubs well if you ve heard us warble you will know why we win so many contests. Our dramatic ability was shown in the G. R. play remember? FAMED ELELIRILIANS KII LED Berlin Germany The entire world mourns the passing of Ifloyd Gamble and Leslie Oppenheimer who were killed while perfecting their latest perpetual motion machine here recently. The noted pair of mechanic: have sacrificed their lives along with those of Sten- metz, Einstein, Forsl and Fdison in the field of science. Eye witnesses claim that the fatal discharge was the result of Mr. Oppenheimer lighting the powerful 5000,000 watt dynamo a fraction of a second too soon. Poor Oppie he never did go in much for details. The remains lie in state in Berlin. Many Furopean tourists plan to stop over for the funeral. Producer Joe Stevenson has been hailed into court on another charge of breach of promise. It appears that the wealthy Mr. Stevenson can not resist the appeal. of chorus girls. This time the charge is brought against him by Maybelle Beeks, one of Fieldzig's star musical comediennes. Many of the most helpful discussions are those led by the boys themselves using topics of interest relating to their present and future success During the fall six boys and Mr. Galt went to the tri-state Hi. PAUL JOHNSON-Left Guard Johnnie was the best Captain the mustangs have had for some time. He was an all-state mang was unusually good on offense and his defense saved many a game for his colleagues. CAPT.-ELECT ROBERT GRAHAM-Right Guard ' He was excellent as a running mate for Capt. Johnson. He is a steady dependable player and should make good as next year's pilot. He was good on offense, but at his best on defense, his accurate shooting' turned the tide in many games. ROBERT LEACOX-Center A brilliant player. In his first year center, he was a most valuable player. He was dangerous with his long shots, and was fast and shifty on defense. All he needs is more altitude. VVALTER RULON-Right Forward Only a Soph. but Walt was the steadiest player on the team. He was a surprise at defense, and was one of the conference top men on baskets. MARVIN GOOD-Left Forward' The only Freshman on the team, lic-cl's playing' was in keeping with his name. He was equally good both at offense and defense. lle never lost sight of the ball and his shooting was all that could he desired. D0 . The schedule this year is one of the hardest the Mustangs have ever had. It consists of meets at Tarkio Council Bluffs Drake Relays College Springs Creston and the District and State meets. The Mustangs are Well represented in both track and field events. The Relay Teams are very fast as usual. Due to loss of Captain Morhain Paul Hunter was elected captain. Up to date Mustangs have placed high in all meets attended and as the season progresses it is hoped they will even be more successful. The tennis team composed of M. Barnes, D. Sample and T. Ross were only fairly successful this year due to inexperience. A more successful season is predicted for next spring. Due to the loss of entire golf team of last season this years team com- posed of R. Leacox and E. Hyde did not do so well. However as the same team will be back next spring and we will expect them to win their share of laurels 3 3 rD006 D006 D006 D006 D06 D006 D006 D006 D006. 42, A , ' ' -Tyner, Jones,,Struck, Pierson, Morhain, D.
