During this fateful year Being a Freshman isn't as easy as many people think. The Freshman of this first year of high school had to make many adjustments. But they pulled through this year Without too many scars. They received their class jackets just in time to get a lot of use out of them. The jackets were a very nice shade of dark green. They sponsored a Valentine Dance. There were several nominations for queen and king from all of the classes . . . But the Freshrnen's own Roberta Cox and David Moore won. They also put on a little skit taken from the book West-Side Story. The Freshmen volunteered to act they were not drafted. They had a lot of fun during their prac- tices and when they acted for the whole school on May 7. The shop class brings out many hidden abilities. Every freshman takes interest in the Valen tine Dance. He did it! 83 Learning to dance can be fun.
