Ss Due to the combined efforts of Mr. Richard Beuh- ler and the members of the Shenandoah Marching Raiders, the student body and the community have had the privilege of the spine-tingling music provided by the band. During the month of June, 1967, the band began marching as one body. Dur- ing the same month, the band performed in its first parade at Middletown, during the Lions Fair. In August of 1967, the band performed at the Shelbyville County Fair, and won lst prize. Other first includeg Parker, Mermaid Festival in North Webster, in spite of rainy weather, and an excel- lent rating at Contests. The band has also per- formed at Ball State University and Anderson Col- lege. Mr. Beuhler is pleased with the facilities at Shenandoah, and feels the band helps to create school spirit and community relations. Congress- man Richard Roudebush and Past-Senator Ralph Harvey both praised the band highly and wished them continued success.
