PRESIDENT Eldon Allen mate Dwelvps kill in 17 mdership Every fall each Civics, U.S. History and Vocations class elect one student to represent them in the school Senate. This is a student government group which meets twice a month to discuss, decide and plan Senate and student ac- tion for the improvement of our school. With the new constitution going into effect two years ago, this year's Senate has become more powerful and accom- plished greater objectives. This year with the Senator's approval, a pop machine which was installed in the angle building, has added to the income ofthe Student Body Fund. The Senate also sponsored Operation We Care, which involved the collection of bandages, bubble gum, and soap for the U.S. soldiers to distribute to children in Vietnamese villages. The Senate was also responsible for the appropriation of money to pay for the jewelry box given to Judy Stratford, the foreign exchange student from Australia. Being a member of the Senate creates an understanding of how our State and Federal governments operate and also gives students a chance to develop qualities of leadership. VICE-PRESIDENT P Scott Puhn

Busy llmr far the Vice- President Chuck Thompson Secretary-treasurer Alan Tahja 18 I Boy's Club was not as active this year as past years. This was due to a lack of interest and not poor leadership. De- spite this setback, they did manage to produce Thanksgiv- ing Baskets to give to the Good Will. They were also plan- ning to have the Mother-Son Banquet as in the previous years. Dave Puhn, as President hopes that next year the new President will not have the same problem. Girl's Club managed to maintain interest and had an active year. Leslee LaBissoniere, who proved a capable leader, and Girls' Club produced a Father-Daugher Banquet, and start- ed a new idea of selecting a girl of the moth, and a girl of the year fro'm the nine candidates previously chosen. Presi- dent Leslee LaBissoniere was assisted by Ginger Medley as Vice-President, and Jana Barnett as Secretary. As usual the Girls' Club sponsored the Tolo. The theme this year was Strawberry Fields Forever . Decorations were beautiful as usual. Music was provided by the Poor Mans Guardian .
