Despite their losses the mighty 'Climbers showed that they would not be trampled by the opposition. ln a game with South Kitsap, our heroes literally sent the VVolves home with their tails between their legs in a defeat of 45-0. 'l'his is one night that will belong remembered. Sheltonls victory was short-lived for the next week the High- climbers bit the dust and lost to North Kitsap. During Shelton's Homecoming against West Bremerton. the 'Climbers played their best game ol the season. In the first quarter the Wildcats made a touchdown, but the 'Climbers remained determined and rammed through the line for a tying goal. Although the Highclimbers lowered their horns, pawing wildly to hold the line, the Wildcats clawed through in the last 30 seconds to score and win the game. Although we didn't win any trophies or climb the ladder to the top, we proved something more important. We could take de- feat. Because ol' the determination. attitude. and spirit of the team and fans.
