Nutt wiiiafa 'R 'o .ahh Thunderation! We Show Determination Those responsible for stimulating pep and enthusiasm are members ofthe Pep Staffand Pep Club. These two bodies worked together as they strove for their most important goal - cheering the team to victory. ln doing this they organized and supported Rooter's Buses. For away games girls made cookies which supplied the team with a relief from starvation after their hard workout. A new idea inspired by Pep Club was Rally VVeek which eon- sisted of daily activities leading up to the first league basketball game. Added to the club was a new feature of uniforms for all the members. This showed to all the unity ol' Pep Club and the support they gave to their team. PEP CLUB President Bette Cowan. Despite their losses the mighty 'Climbers showed that they would not be trampled by the opposition. ln a game with South Kitsap, our heroes literally sent the VVolves home with their tails between their legs in a defeat of 45-0. During Shelton's Homecoming against West Bremerton. the 'Climbers played their best game ol the season. In the first quarter the Wildcats made a touchdown, but the 'Climbers remained determined and rammed through the line for a tying goal. Although the Highclimbers lowered their horns, pawing wildly to hold the line, the Wildcats clawed through in the last 30 seconds to score and win the game.
