Junior lliqh Athletics PENINC- the year in junior High athletics, the grid squad coached by Mr. Frank Willard, won two games, lost two and tied two. Mr. Willard turned out some fine material for next fall's high school team. ln basketball Coach Walt Lunsford's team had a highly successful season, winning six out of ten games played. The track team, coached by Mr. Lunsford, and the baseball team, coached by Mr. Marion Oppelt, have not yct met in competition but have high hopes of making a good record this season. This time it was to enjoy the feeling of seniority which is the position of the ninth graders in that school. The class was well represented in all school activities, among which were the newly formed Student Body group and the Cirls' Club Cabinet. The Freshman Class again showed its efficiency in the field of sports by supplying many husky athletes who will be a valuable addition to Senior High athletics next year. Not forgetting the scholastic standard. a great many names appearing on the honor roll are those of ninth graders. lt is with regret that we must leave our present building, but in taking a step upward, we trust that our school days at the lrene S. Reed High School will be as happy and inspira- tional as our memories of those spent at junior High. ,-l9-b
