Sannerud T the beginning of the year, the Sophomore Class started out in an honest attempt' to be an outstanding group during its high school career. While the A. S. B. ticket drive was in full swing, one Sophomore Home Room fought through to a one hundred per cent victory. Two of the Sophomore Home Rooms also placed first and second for the cleverest floats in the big pep parade before the Thanksgiving game with Olympia. The Sophomore Class asked to be given charge of the auditorium decorations for the Christmas holidays, and the hall reflected a peppy holiday spirit upon the faculty and Student Body. Even while the Sophomores were lagging in the interclass basketball tourney this year, the boys battled through to a brave finish. The Sophomores made up for this disappoint- ment by giving the most successful school party of the year, the traditional Sophomore Tolo Dance. The Sophomore Class was also well represented in the all-school play. nine Sophomore-s being chosen to work on committees and fifteen as members of the cast. Tlg..

, ' A The Ninth Grade Class Adviser Mr, Frank Willard Home Room Representatives President Percy Cloutier PGESY Klasell VICE-President George Smith Clinton Williams S k R I Barbara Drake ecretary Iac O es Virginia Dorcy Class Historian Mary Taylor Robert Nun N the morning of September 8, l937, the Freshman Class went back to dear old junior High with an enrollment of l76 students which climbed to l88 during the year. This time it was to enjoy the feeling of seniority which is the position of the ninth graders in that school. The class was well represented in all school activities, among which were the newly formed Student Body group and the Cirls' Club Cabinet. The Freshman Class again showed its efficiency in the field of sports by supplying many husky athletes who will be a valuable addition to Senior High athletics next year. Not forgetting the scholastic standard. a great many names appearing on the honor roll are those of ninth graders. lt is with regret that we must leave our present building, but in taking a step upward, we trust that our school days at the lrene S. Reed High School will be as happy and inspira- tional as our memories of those spent at junior High. ,-l9-b
