Thursday, Iune 8, was the day that the seniors had their last meal together. They enjoyed breakfast and were entertained afterwards by two folk singing groups. Slam awards were presented by Bill Maris and Karm Hagedorn, These included an oversized study pass given to Mr. Flynn, a golden shovel given to Steve Ireland, and an award for the most improved lover given to Greg Farman. Mr. Arbuckle was an entertaining master of ceremonies. Iill Wolf cheerfully receives her award for talking down Bill Maris. it After receiving her Winnie the Pooh Bear, Karm Hagedorn continues the slam awards presentations.

ACIUOI1 RGIUSIAIGO Dawn Stumpf and Rhio Blair march in to the strains of Pomp and Circum- stance. The class of 1967. Father Iames MacConnell speaks on A Generation Between the Times. The traditional ceremonies of Baccalaureate and Commencement finished off the not-so-traditional year for this yearis Sheldon seniors. Father Iames MacConnell was the main speaker at Baccalaureate, enlarging on the topic, A Generation Be- tween the Times. Most seniors enjoyed the service because it was short. Student speakers were Valerie Anderson, Cheryl Devine, and Ellen Brownhill. George Al- bertus was the organist. Iune 9, at 8:00, the seniors marched into the plaza for the last time. Laraine Eloranta gave the invocation. Dennis Gory and Shelley Lindgren gave the student addresses, and Harry Dillin, President of Linfield College, spoke on the Four R's : Reason, Responsibility, Religion, and Resourcefulness. Following the presentation of diplomas, the seniors reinstated an old tradition by changing the tassels on their mortarboards from the left side to the right, thereby signifying their new status: High school graduates.
