CRAITIA Edward Chilla m U S I C Wayte Kirchner Patricia Gibson Enrollment in this year's drama classes has doubled as has student participation in dramatic activities. Under the direction of Patricia Gibson, students in Dramatics I learned the art of applying makeup, studied the history of the theater, and gained skill in voice control and proper physical movement. Continuing their theatrical experience, students from Dramatics II presented excerpts from Twelfth Night to various English classes. New to the dramatics department this year was Ed- ward Chilla, technical director and instructor of the stagecraft class. In this course, students had an opportunity to work with the lighting, sound con- struction, and scenery. They constructed the sets for all of Sheldon's productions. Under the cooperative direction of Leonard Iohn, Wayte Kirchner, and Paul Stofft, the Sheldon Mu- sic Department maintained a fine standard of quality. The Band, Orchestra, AlCappella, and Girls' Choir performed at var- ious times forthe student body. At the Christmas Assembly the Band provided a lively accompaniment, members of the Orchestra played some recorder numhersg and the A'Cappella Choir added a hearty background to the festivities.
