AOITIIHISTSRAIIVG SIAIII: Dr. Millard Pond Superintendent The School Board and Administrative Staff of District 4 earned Sheldon's ap- preciation by approving the changes for the new look this year. The new look began with the eight-period day and was capped off with the conversion of part of the cafeteria into a student center. Under the supervision of Dr. Millard Pond, Superintendent of Schools, the School Board kept the schools running according to the laws, made new policies for the district, and saw that they were carried out. The resource centers and open labs coupled with in- dependent study privileges provide opportunities for utilization of resources not so readily avail- able iri the pastf' This was the way Mr. C, Wayne Flynn, princi- pal of Sheldon High, summarized the eight- period day which was initiated this year.
