The purposes of the Future Medical Ca- reers Club are to explore the opportunities in medical and health careers and to serve the school and community. Projects included sending Christmas pres- ents to servicemen in Vietnam and to pa- tients in the State Hospital and touring the Children's Farm Home in Corvallis. They served as volunteer nurses, aids at the hos- pital, the blood bank, and the TB clinic, and made field trips to several mental in- stitutions, Among the social events was a joint potluck dinner for the FMC clubs of seven other schools. Nancy Hickenbottom serves at FMC Banquet.

SERVICE CIUB FRONT ROW: Gary Miller, Richard Wright, Janelle Hall, Diana Davis, Terry Taylor. ROW 2: Iohn Fuller, Dale Libby, Jeanne Lindley, Shirley Iohnson, Dorothy Cameron, Cathy Krumdieck. Almost as much a part of the football and basket- ball scene as the players were the bright green vests of the Service Club members, who sold tickets and ushered at the games. Other activities included serving at the district Wrestling meet and selling victory ribbons and Irish buttons. Proceeds from the sales went to buy pins and name tags for the members. Iacque Hawks and Thersa Pease sell a ticket to Alan Reed. Diana Davis and Dorothy Cameron sell victory ribbons and Irish buttons at a Sheldon basketball game.

ROW 2: Mrs. Beat, Cindy Demaline, Rhio Blair, Barbara Fredrick, Marjorie Coffin, Patsy Younkin, Patty Case. Members of Future Teachers of America gained first-hand knowledge about teach- ing from guest speakers. A visit to Sheldonis special education class provided excellent information about special education. Shel- don's student teachers received a warm welcome from FTA members at faculty teas held in their honor. FTA members enjoy refreshments as they listen to a guest speaker.
