I N, if l Zi JF? et ts? Q Y a Sheldon's exchange student from Panama, Calvin Best. i Being part of AFS has been a very interesting experience for me. While staying here in the United States, I have gained new experiences and broadened my mind about things in this country. Before I came here, I had a few misconceptions of this country, but during the several months I have been here many things have been made clear to me. Traveling abroad has enabled me to have many rewarding moments. I have met many people who are interested in knowing about my country and its ideals and also exchanged ideas and different concepts. American Field Service has made all this possible by promoting world peace and understanding by giving the opportunity for foreign students to know more about the customs and ideals in the United States. While here, I attended a fine school and was exposed to the educational system of this country. In this country I lived with the Robert Williamsons and shared my experiences and part of my life with this American family. I thank AFS and Sheldon High School for contributing towards understanding and world peace. Calvin Best t . yi., c ,Calvin's American mother, Mrs. Williamson, brought him to Sheldon where he was regis- tered and welcomed by Mr. Flynn.
