mares Kvgin 537 ' n . . .is it -Q' all fha Judy Long Treaxurer Through all the years Your honor we'll uphold The Class of ,68 began it's first year at Sheldon representing several junior highs. They immediately began to work together as one class. The sopho- mores were officially welcomed to Sheldon during Hello Week when they kissed the Blarney Stone and wore their shamrock beanies and bibs. Their first important task was electing their officers. After a spirited cam- paign, the Sophomores elected Jerry Kudelko, president, Ron Howard, vice president, Linda Bertram, secretary, and Judy Long treasurer. The sopho- mores then elected their council which, under the officer's leadership, began to raise money. They earned it by the usual methods - selling donuts, spon- soring dances, and washing cars. The money earned was used to purchase decorations for Senior Commencement, which is a sophomore tradition. After a few weeks at Sheldon, the sophomore class quickly took advantage of the many activities and sports offered at Sheldon. The sophomore boys participated on the sophomore athletic teams, as well as on the Varsity Squads. The participation of the girls was limited mainly to intramural sports, but they did, however, go out for various school teams. The clubs at Sheldon also received many members from the sophomore class. As the Seniors were looking forward to graduation, the sophomores were remembering their first year in high school and were anticipating the activ- ities, classes, and higher standing of their junior year.
